HOTEL on the CORNER of BITTER and SWEET

The next “Page Turner” Book Club meeting will be on Tuesday, February 14th, from 6 to 7:30 at Becky’s Coffee Corner in Prosser.
We’ll be joining together to discuss the book;
“Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet”
By Jamie Ford

Loretta Freepons will be hosting this meeting.

“A tender and satisfying novel set in a time and a place lost forever, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet gives us a glimpse of the damage that is caused by war--not the sweeping damage of the battlefield, but the cold, cruel damage to the hearts and humanity of individual people. Especially relevant in today's world, this is a beautifully written book that will make you think. And, more importantly, it will make you feel."
-- Garth Stein, New York Times bestselling author of The Art of Racing in the Rain

Also, Loretta mentioned that there was an exhibit at Yakima museum that held some historical information that would pertain to our upcoming book; "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet". I thought you all might appreciate this link that includes an overview and may be interested in seeing the display. The museum is located off Tieton Drive, right before Yakima Memorial Hospital, on the right (traveling west).
